Family Trees

Caldonian society is matrilineal. Children take the mother's family name and the husband keeps his own family's name. The matriarch rules the family. Her decisions are law and cannot be appealed to the courts. A husbands owes his primary allegiance to his matriarch, not his wife's matriarch.
